The National Business Center (NBC) welcomed a delegation from InfoCamere, the information technology company serving the Italian Chambers of Commerce, to Tirana as part of ongoing institutional cooperation and a technical mission focused on further developing digital systems and services for businesses.
The meeting followed a visit by the NBC team to Padua in April, where representatives of the institution had the opportunity to gain first-hand insight into Italy’s experience in managing business information, as well as the technological solutions developed by InfoCamere in support of the Italian Chamber of Commerce system.
In his opening remarks, the Director General of the National Business Center, Mr. Etugert Llazi, highlighted the importance of moving from the exchange of experiences towards more structured cooperation focused on concrete projects and solutions.
“Our ambition is to identify which elements of the Italian experience can be adapted to Albania, taking into consideration our institutional framework, digital infrastructure, and the needs of Albanian businesses,” said Mr. Llazi.
He emphasized that the NBC’s priority remains to facilitate the relationship between businesses and public administration by making interaction with the institution simpler, faster, more transparent, and increasingly digital.
During the technical mission, the teams from the two institutions focused on two main areas of cooperation.
The first concerns the business registers administered by the NBC, while the second focuses on information technology and digital infrastructure.
“The ultimate objective of this cooperation should be highly practical: better services for businesses, higher-quality information, greater interoperability among institutions, and a more efficient public administration,” Mr. Llazi stated.
For his part, InfoCamere Director Mr. Paolo Ghezzi expressed his enthusiasm for continuing cooperation with the National Business Center and his readiness to share InfoCamere’s experience and technological expertise in support of the further development of digital services for businesses in Albania.
The cooperation also takes on particular importance in the context of Albania’s European integration process, which requires not only the alignment of legislation with the European Union acquis, but also the strengthening of the administrative and technological capacities of institutions to ensure the effective implementation of European standards.
